What To Expect
We look forward to welcoming you to Pulitzer Orthodontics! Upon your arrival at our practice, please inform our receptionist.
Dr. Cindy or Dr. Sam will conduct a comprehensive orthodontic examination and discuss all treatment aspects directly with the patient and their family.
The Purpose of the Initial Examination is to Answer these Questions:
- What sort of problem is present, if any?
- When is the proper time to begin treatment?
- What type of treatment is indicated?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will the treatment cost?
What’s Next?
If orthodontic treatment is needed at the time of the initial exam, an appointment for Diagnostic Records is scheduled. If time allows, we can take these diagnostic records during your initial visit.
What are Diagnostic Records?
- Study models of your teeth.
- Photographs
- Panoramic and cephalogram radiographs.
- Doctors study the diagnostic records and determine the best course of treatment.
What is the Cost of the Treatment?
The cost of treatment depends upon the severity of the patient’s problem. The treatment coordinator will discuss fees and payment options once a treatment plan is determined. We have different payment plans to suit your budget and accept assignments from most insurance plans. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable. It is our goal to help any patient who comes to us perfect their smile.
What Does My Investment Include?
- Orthodontic records – x-rays, 3D scans, photographs, and a personalized orthodontic workup to address your treatment objectives.
- All appliances, office visits, and procedures performed in our practice. These appliances are durable and should last through the entire treatment period if patients follow the instructions. If appliances require replacement due to loss, breakage, misuse, or failure to eliminate foods that cause damage, we reserve the right to charge an additional replacement fee.
- Two sets of final retainers for our comprehensive (Phase II) patients are provided upon completion of treatment. There is a replacement fee for each additional retainer that is lost or broken.
Assignment of Benefits
We accept the assignment of benefits for most insurance plans. By doing this, your family’s out-of-pocket expense is substantially lower. If we do not accept the assignment of benefits from your plan, we will be happy to file claims so that the insured can be reimbursed directly. Should there be any change in your policy before full payment of the insurance benefit, please contact our office immediately so adjustments may be made to your contract.
Office Hours
Our goal is to see you on time for your appointment. Time is scheduled to complete the necessary procedure, give information about the treatment, and answer any questions you may have. For us to maintain a schedule that runs on time, we request that patients arrive on time to avoid delays, as the day progresses. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and consideration with appointments, as it benefits both our office and patients seen after your appointment.
