Meet Our Orthodontists

Combined Experience of Over 40 years

Dr. Sam and Dr. Cindy’s story began at LSU Dental School. “I met my lovely wife Cindy “Cindy Lou” on her first day of dental school.” Dr. Sam relates. They fell in love studying side by side in the library and offering assistance to one another as they learned to provide treatment for patients. That sort of support and companionship is a hallmark of their philosophy of orthodontic treatment.

Patients at Pulitzer Orthodontics benefit from the experience of two orthodontists while receiving the continuity of care of having the same doctor for their entire treatment!

Louisiana natives, the Pulitzers chose to move to Tennessee not long after Hurricane Katrina. They are the proud parents of three sons, Bryce, Avery, and Vaughn. Starting in 2024, their household will be divided as their eldest son begins attending UT! You might often find them at local sporting and band events, enthusiastically supporting their boys. Family is their greatest joy!

All three of our daughters have gone through the braces process with Pulitizer Orthodontics. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. They worked around our schedule, scheduled the girls at the same time when possible, and made last minute changes when we needed it. They always took the time to answer any questions we had, and even came in on a Saturday when we had an urgent issue. They made our girls' comfort a priority and always listened to any concerns we had. Pulitzer Orthodontics wasn't the practice that did my braces, but I wish they did. When my retainer broke and I was two thousand miles away from my orthodontist, I went to Pulitzer. They helped me figure out my options and I had a brand new retainer by lunch the same day for $196. Everyone there was professional and very friendly.
